MEDICAL LIABILITY: MIIX Claims Bar Date Extension Granted
On April 7, 2010, the Honorable Mary, C. Jacobson, New Jersey Superior Court Judge, Chancery Division,
granted a motion filed by the New Jersey Deputy Attorney General for the MIIX liquidator to extend
the bar date for claims for an additional year from April 9, 2010 to April 11, 2011. The
practical impact of this ruling is that the Property and Liability Insurance Guarantee Association (PLIGA)
fund will cover claims filed through the extended date of April 11, 2011 for up to $300,000.
